I really enjoyed your article, but I was kind of expecting that you also offer us a solution.

One thing that I notice when using VR devices like the Oculus Quest is that these offer me the freedom, space and the "multi-modal silence" I'm longing for. My mind can breathe better when working in VR. A palm-sized phone can't achieve this. I'm not sure whether it's because of today's scarcity of apps for VR devices or whether it's really the "subtraction" of the outer world that soothing my frayed nerves, but it seems to me that untethered VR is closer to what we want to achieve than a redesign of phone UX.
